"Bukowski: Born Into This" is the first comprehensive documentary of the legendary writer (1920-1994) who had many girlfriends. Bukowski became most widely known as the screenwriter and real-life model for "Barfly," the feature film based on his early life. Director John Dullaghan spent seven years researching, shooting and conducting interviews with relatives, girlfriends and other poets, as well as friends and/or admirers including Harry Dean Stanton, Taylor Hackford and Tom Waits. Special DVD features include: Bukowski's final home movie footage from 1992, a peek at previously unpublished poems and "Dinosauria, we," deleted scenes, extended interviews with Linda Lee Bukowski, Taylor Hackford and publisher John Martin, Tom Waits and Bono read the writer's poetry, 'Born Into This' behind-the-scenes featurette, commentary by director John Dullaghan.
