A moment in the lives of The Arnold's, The Kruger's, and The Johnson's. The emotional side of these three families with children born with cleft palates. This birth defect takes hold of these families coping skills in three very different ways.
The story being told through the eyes of these families and the doctors who have been in their lives since the very beginning. Although other documentaries have been done on this birth defect none has been told through the emotionally charged parents doing everything in their power to protect and love their children. You come to realize that, "Life is not hard, People are just difficult." (48 minutes)
